Yellowstone National ParkWe ate breakfast a little later today, so we got to the north entrance of the park about 10:30.  Today there was a fairly long line of cars and  it took 10 minutes to get through the gate.  We made the two hour drive to Old Faithful hoping to get a better view than last time.  As we walked toward Old Faithful another geyser erupted (I think it was Grand Geyser).  We got seated for Old Faithful about 12:44 and the predicted eruption time was 12:54.  As we set waiting we saw what I think was Daisy Geyser erupt!  And then almost exactly on time, Old Faithful erupted!  It wasn’t as long as on Sunday, but we did have a better view.

After the eruption we had burgers, salad and a chicken sandwich at the Old Faithful General Store.  We checked in to see if there might be a place at the Old Faithful Inn, but as I expected the line was very long.  It turns out that the General Store had good food and gave us an opportunity to browse the great shop as well.

When we were finished at Old Faithful, we headed to Artists Paint Pots.  They are cool and otherworldly, but you had to go all the way to the top of the steps before you could see any paint pots.

By the time we were finished it was time to head back to Gardiner.  Another end to another great trip!  Yellowstone and Montana were as striking as ever and since the park is always changing, each of my four visits have all been very different.
